Our Work
The Tau Zeta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. is passionately dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities and nurturing community bonds in The Dominican Republic. In alignment with our commitment, we proudly established the Tau Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund. This initiative is designed to offer financial support to ambitious young individuals in the Dominican Republic, aiding them in their quest for higher education.
We stand by the conviction that education serves as a cornerstone for transformative change, and we are wholeheartedly committed to aiding the youth in their academic endeavors and their efforts to positively influence their communities.
Beyond our scholarship fund, our commitment extends to a broad spectrum of humanitarian activities across the Dominican Republic. These include community service projects, educational outreach programs, and a variety of efforts aimed at elevating and strengthening individuals and communities alike.
We hold a firm belief in the power of collective action and mutual support.
Together, we are steadfast in our pursuit of a future that shines brighter and promises equity and prosperity for everyone.

The Tau Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund is a program designed to support the education of young people in and from the Dominican Republic. This fund aligns with the aims of Alpha Phi Alpha which include promoting education, developing leadership skills, and providing service to the community. By providing financial assistance to young people in the Dominican Republic who are seeking to further their education, the Tau Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund helps to fulfill these aims and empower the next generation of leaders in the Dominican Republic.
Through this fund, we are able to support young people as they pursue their educational goals and make a positive impact on their communities.

Little league sponsors
Given that baseball holds the title as the Dominican Republic's favorite pastime, it was a fitting choice for Tau Zeta Lambda to donate brand-new gloves and equipment to three local little league teams during a sunny afternoon in July.
The joy and excitement of the young players upon receiving these gifts were matched only by the gratitude of their coaches for the additional resources. This gesture of support made by the brothers significantly uplifted the spirits of these aspiring athletes and their communities. We are enthusiastic about maintaining our support for these teams and contributing positively to their future endeavors.
